Honey Spiced Classic Coffee

INGREDIENTS

1.5 oz good-quality coffee beans

3 1/2 cups filtered water, boiling and divided

1/2 cup pea milk, warmed

2 tbsp wildflower honey

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Set Brim Conical Burr Grinder to medium and turn dial to 12 cup setting. Grind coffee beans.

 

Place paper filter over the decanter of the Brim Pour Over Coffee Kit. Pour 1/2 cup boiling water through the paper filter to saturate and pre-warm decanter; discard water. Add coffee to wet paper filter.

Using slow, spiral motion, pour 1/3 cup boiling water over coffee to bloom; let stand for 30 seconds. Pour remaining boiling water slowly over coffee, allowing water level to drop before adding more water (this process should take about 5 minutes).

Stir together pea milk, honey and nutmeg until well combined. Pour coffee into mugs and stir in pea milk mixture. Serve immediately.

Tip: Try substituting a variety of warm spices such as cinnamon, cloves or cardamom for nutmeg if desired.
